Fuel Prices in Nebraska Six Cents Lower Than the National Average
(Omaha, NE - July 24, 2017) Nebraska motorists are paying an average of $2.22 a gallon for unleaded fuel, which is six cents lower than the national average of $2.28 a gallon, reports AAA – The Auto Club Group. Compared to a year ago, pump prices in Nebraska are seven cents higher than last year’s state average.
Those traveling by car this summer will find some of the lowest prices in the country in a cluster of states located in the south central region. The highest prices are reported in the western states.
Oil industry experts are waiting for news from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) as cartel leaders are meeting in Russia this week to discuss the status of their oil production cut agreement scheduled to run through March 2018.
